Ward Huseth is a leader within Keyser’s Educational Services Practice, bringing extensive experience in charter school finance, capital strategy, and growth planning. Most recently, he led the strategic evaluation and execution of organizational growth initiatives, including fundraising strategies, for Valor Education as its Chief Growth and Development Officer.
Prior to Valor, as former Chief Financial Officer and Interim Chief Executive Officer of Great Hearts Academies, he played a central role in scaling the organization from approximately 5,000 to over 13,000 students, overseeing financial strategy, capital planning, and operational execution during a period of significant multi-state expansion.
In addition to his charter school network leadership, Ward has advised and supported high-growth education organizations on financial planning and expansion strategy. His background also includes investment and advisory work as the Chief Financial Officer and Partner with the Charter School Growth Fund, where he gained perspective on evaluating, funding, and scaling leading charter networks nationwide.
Through his career, Ward has been directly involved in aligning growth strategy, real estate decisions, and capital deployment, bringing a practical, operator-informed perspective to complex expansion efforts. At Keyser, he helps integrate financial strategy into site selection, strategic planning, and project execution, ensuring that institutions scale in a disciplined, sustainable, and financially sound manner.
