Aaron Kindel leads Keyser’s Education Practice, overseeing a fully integrated platform that helps charter school operators successfully plan, launch, and scale high-performing schools. With more than 25 years in education reform and school growth, he serves as a strategic partner to school leaders…aligning enrollment strategy, market selection, facility planning, and capital execution into one coordinated approach.
Aaron has played a key role in expanding high-quality charter school networks across nine states and Washington, D.C., helping create tens of thousands of student seats. He is known for translating growth vision into executable strategy…leveraging demographic data, enrollment modeling, financial structuring, and local market intelligence to guide critical decisions.
Most recently, as Chief Growth Officer at BASIS Education, Aaron led multi-state expansion efforts for an organization serving more than 24,000 students. During his tenure, he added 13 campuses and over 7,100 seats, while overseeing approximately 780,000 square feet of development and $290 million in construction…delivered on time and on budget.
Previously, as President of Great Hearts Texas, he led the operations and growth of a network serving 4,500+ students and helped scale a long-term plan to reach more than 14,000 students statewide.
At Keyser, Aaron acts as the strategic quarterback across all service lines…ensuring school operators have seamless access to the strategy, real estate, and execution capabilities required to open schools successfully and sustainably. He began his career as a Teach For America corps member teaching math for the Compton Unified School District and holds a BA in Mathematics from Rollins College.

There is a history of service in my family. I have several family members that served in the military, including WWII, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. I always wanted to honor that tradition, but chose to serve in another way, education. After college, I taught for a school district in an underserved community near Los Angeles. I originally intended to teach for two years and then move into another field. However, that experience had a transformative impact on me and, after seeing the need firsthand, I decided to commit my career to expanding high-quality education opportunities for all families.
